This came with a home purchase so I didn't do any research and select it. The convection baking setting is very helpful as you can cook at a lower temperature. Since the fan is circulating the air, the heat transfer is more effective. It has worked out fairly well as it provides good, even heat. The only issue is that it doesn't seem particularly speedy to pre-heat
